BICYCLE ACCIDENT: 67-year-old Cyclist Suffers Brain Injury in Redwood Solo Crash

Redwood City-- An elderly cyclist suffered serious injuries after his bike fell over at Woodside Road on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
According to reports, Richard Kadet was cycling near Northgate Drive intersection when his bike began to wobble and fell onto the lane of traffic. Paramedics arrived and rushed him to Stanford Hospital for treatment of serious brain injury.
San Mateo police officers said that Kadet was wearing helmet at the time of accident. He and his riding partner were having their routine 25 to 40-mile bike trip on Sunday mornings when the accident happened.
Authorities are still investigating the details on the cause of accident.
