Authorities: Alcohol and Speed Likely Involved in Buena Park Fatal Motorcycle Accident

Buena Park- Authorities stated that alcohol and speed appear to be involved in a motorcycle accident which claimed the life of a 31-year-old woman and a 23-year-old U.S. Army ranger.
According to reports, the motorcycle was moving towards Monticello Avenue along west on Malvern Avenue when the accident occurred at around 2:00 a.m.
The ranger identified as Johnny Carrillo, from Whittier, died at the accident area. Meanwhile, the female passenger identified as Renee Castañeda, from Norwalk, died while undergoing surgery at UCI Medical Center in Orange.
According to authorities, results of initial investigation show that the motorcyclist was moving at an excessive speed when he lost control of the vehicle.
Both Carrillo and Castañeda were thrown off the motorcycle when it crashed into a light pole.
