TRAIN ACCIDENT: Amtrak Train Collides with Semi truck, 35 Passengers Injured

Contra Costa County – No serious injuries were reported when an Amtrak train bound for Oakland from Bakersfield collided with a semi truck, KTLA reported.
According to officials, the collision that occurred in Byron town in Contra Costa County injured at least 35 people. The train had a total of 208 passengers.
Latest news reports have said the injuries of the train collision victims are considered to be minor.
A spokesperson for Amtrak has said the incident happened around 7:23 p.m. and did not cause the train to be derailed.
