Apple Files Countersuit against Nokia
December 11, 2009
Delaware - Two months after Nokia Corp. charged Apple Inc. with patent infringement case, the California-based company has filed on Friday a countersuit claiming that its rival “has copied the iPhone’s user interface".
In a court-affidavit, Apple said Nokia has infringed 13 of its patented technologies including teleconferencing capability, a feature that allows a phone to connect to computer, energy-efficient chips, touch screen menu, and features found in iPhone’s graphical user interface.
When asked for comments, Nokia spokesman said the company will review the case before it will release an official statement.
The two phone maker giants denied infringing each other’s patents.
