DUI ACCIDENT:Christmas Day DUI Arrests in LA County More Than Recorded Last Year

Los Angeles – Sunday morning, Christmas Day, saw an increase in the number of people arrested for drunk driving in Los Angeles County, reports said.

According to reports, the number of people who had been arrested in the said county as of 6 AM Sunday was 138; 55 more than what was recorded last year. In California, 710 were arrested, which was 203 more than last year.

The California Highway Patrol said that 5 people were killed in car accidents on freeways across the state except LA County.

Reports said that the CHP campaign on drunk drivers that had a “maximum enforcement period” from 6 PM Friday to 12:01 AM Tuesday brought to the increase in arrests all over the state.
