VEHICLE COLLISION: Elderly Motorcyclist Injured in Butte County Low-Speed 2-Vehicle Collision

Butte County- A 60-year-old female motorcyclist sustained major injuries after she collided with a sedan while moving at a low speed along East Avenue in Chico, said reports.

According to authorities, the motorcyclist identified as Diana Barker, from Orland, was traveling north along The Esplanade when her 2005 Yamaha collided with a southbound Ford Taurus being driven by Ashland Fulton, 20, from Chico.

Reports said one of the vehicles was trying to turn left at the time of the accident.

The motorcyclist was rushed to Enloe Medical Center to be treated for a broken ankle, which is believed to be a compound fracture. Meanwhile, the driver was not hurt in the accident.
