La Jolla Sweatshirts Recalled Over Strangulation Risk
September 10, 2009
Irvine, California - The US Consumer Product Safety Commission recently announced a voluntary recall on more than 2,300 hooded sweatshirts which have a design that puts people, especially young children, at risk of strangulation.
The La Jolla sweatshirt, which is imported from China by a US clothing company, has a drawstring that pose a risk to small children, according to a statement released by the consumer agency.
The agency said the recalled garments, which were sold across the US between June and August 2009, have names “Up and Under” and “Love Goes” written in front.
Safety officials warned consumers from using the recalled sweatshirts and asked them to immediately return the items to the retailer for a refund.
