CAR ACCIDENT: Modern Family Star Sarah Hyland Unhurt after LA Crash

Los Angeles- Modern Family star Sarah Hyland and boyfriend, Matt Prokop, were uninjured after a car accident last week.

According to reports, High School Musical 3 star Matt Prokop was driving along rain-slicked Los Angeles streets when the car hit a water pocket, swerved, and spun. The actor and his passenger, Hyland, were both unhurt.

The teen comedienne was helping her boyfriend rehearse lines while driving and was on their way for the audition. The couple then heard the song, "Someone Like You" and stopped reading to sing. Prokop struck the water pocket and the car spun, reports said.

Reports said Hyland thanked the singer, Adele, for indirectly helping his boyfriend refocus his eyes on the road. She said that suppose Prokop continued reading; he would have been involved in a fatal crash.

Hyland stars as “Haley Dunphy” in Modern Family sitcom. She and the rest of the cast received Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Ensemble in a Comedy Series in 2010. She and Prokop started dating in 2009.
