CAR ACCIDENT: Nickelodeon Star Miranda Cosgrove Injured in Tour Bus Crash

Los Angeles- iCarly icon Miranda Cosgrove suffered broken ankle after a tour bus accident in Interstate 70 on Thursday morning.

According to reports, the singer-actress was a passenger in a tour bus when the driver was involved in an accident in Illinois. Cosgrove suffered broken ankle while four other passengers sustained minor injuries. Paramedics arrived and transported them to a local hospital.

The 18-year-old pop star postponed her "Dancing Crazy" concert to undergo surgery. The North American tour will resume until further notice, according to Cosgrove's spokeswoman.

The teen icon started her debut concert tour in Ohio in July and was supposed to end in Arizona in October. She is also scheduled to hold a solo tour in Brazil in November.

Cosgrove was best known for her role as “Summer Hathaway” in School of Rock in 2003. She also won the Young Artist Awards for her best performance as a leading young actress in 2010. She currently plays the lead role in iCarly for Nickelodeon television series.
