April 20, 2010

Petaluma - A drunk driver suffered serious injuries after his car smashed into two Redwood trees in Rohnert Park, early Tuesday morning.

Police said Michael Anderson,21-year-old fromPetaluma, was driving along the Rohnert Park Expressway at about 12:30 a.m. when his car left the road and hit the two Redwood trees.

Anderson’s Hyundai sedan hit a tree, turned over, and crashed into another tree, crushing the vehicle’s rear.

The California Highway Patrol believes slippery road due to heavy rain and the driver’s over-speeding were the primary causes of the accident.
