Police Investigates Fatal Laguna Hills Crash
November 3, 2009
Laguna Hills - Authorities are investigating an accident that left an elderly woman dead and two others injured.
According to police, the woman who was identified as Cheryl Louise Jordan, 60, from San Diego, was killed when a Cadillac she was riding in was hit from behind by an Acura being driven by a 27-year-old driver.
The accident occurred near the intersection of Alicia Parkway and Hon Avenue, stated authorities.
Investigators believe that the Acura driver, who was heading eastbound on Alicia Parkway carrying a 4-year-old passenger, may have passed out prior to the collision due to a medical condition.
The unidentified 58-year-old man who was driving the Cadillac was brought to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana to receive treatment for head injuries.
Meanwhile, both the Acura driver and passenger sustained minor injuries.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash.
