CAR ACCIDENT: Pregnant Passenger Injured after LA Car Chase

Los Angeles- A pregnant passenger was injured after a driver led police on a chase and crashed into three parked cars in South Los Angeles on Wednesday at 3:30 a.m.

According to reports, the driver was moving at 60 mph when police officers tried to pull him over. He led the officers into a chase through 58th Street and Vermont Avenue until he crashed into the parked cars.

The driver fled on foot and headed westbound on Slauson Avenue. The passenger, who is six months pregnant, suffered head injuries and was rushed to a local hospital, reports said.

Los Angeles police officers commented that the man appeared to be under the influence. Details on the cause of accident are still under investigation.
