PLANE ACCIDENT: Prominent North County Horse Breeder Killed in Oregon Plane Accident

Bonsall – A plane accident in Oregon yesterday morning has resulted in the death of a prominent North County horse breeder and his companion.
Aviation authorities identified the victims as Frank “Scoop” Vessels, former president of American Quarter Horse Association and owner of Vessels Stallion Farm in Bonsall, and his friend Sam Cannell.
Vessels and Cannell were returning from a trip to Redding, California when the plane crashed due to still unknown reasons.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the twin-engine Aero Commander 500B crashed about 70 miles south of Burns, Oregon at about 9:00 am.
They are still investigating the possible cause of the plane crash.
Vessels was survived by his wife and three sons.
