PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT: Unidentified Jaywalker Seriously Injured when Hit by Car in Costa Mesa

Costa Mesa- An unidentified female jaywalker, who is believed to be in her 20s, suffered from internal injuries and head trauma after being hit by a car, said reports.

According to authorities, she was crossing Adams Avenue along Pinecreek Drive when an eastbound Toyota Scion TC suddenly hit her. The woman was not using a designated crosswalk at the time of the accident.

She was rushed to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana after the incident. Reports said she is in a stable but critical condition.

Authorities did not file any charges against the female driver because she has the right of way when the accident occurred.
