VEHICLE COLLISION: Visalia Crash Kills Traver Woman

Visalia – A 53-year-old Traver woman was killed after her vehicle drifted onto the opposite direction and hit an oncoming big rig Tuesday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.
Authorities are yet to identify the woman who was driving a 1998 Toyota sedan on the southbound lanes of Road 80 when her vehicle suddenly drifted to the northbound lanes at about 7:20 am and collided head-on with a big rig that was towing two trailers. The woman was declared dead on the scene.
The 60-year-old Visalia man, Randal Hifner, who was driving the big rig was not injured in the accident.
Aside from the fatality, no other injuries were immediately reported in the crash that closed down Road 80 for a couple of hours as authorities investigated the accident.
